About the Cox Family

This blog is about our family. Brandon and I married on June 3, 2000 after dating about a year and a half. We went to high school together but never really talked with each other even though we lived on the same road. We now have Connor,8 and Karlea,4. We also have two dogs, Belle and Patch. We also have two goldfish, Freddie and Dory. Hope you enjoy!

Cleaning Day

The kids and I (mostly me) decided that we would do a thorough cleaning of our house on Mondays so that we would have the rest of the week to play or do whatever. The first Monday worked out really well. The house was spotless, which those of you with kids and a husband know that it didn't stay that way for long. Last week we totally didn't even start. Today I've done some cleaning. As you can tell, I'm on the computer. Oh well. I would post a picture but I would be embarrassed for you to see my house, even the playroom! I have so many projects and jobs I wanted to accomplish this summer. Doesn't look like I'll get to it. I've gotten hooked on blogs and facebook. Life is good. That's all I can ask for.

Apologies

I'm sorry that my blog looks a bit awkward. My friends' blogs have their little stories and pics all lined up together with titles. I am still figuring it out. My apologies for the craziness. Maybe one day I will get it. I told my friend Beth last night that we needed to have a blog party to teach me what the heck to do. Maybe we will.

Home from the Beach

We went to Gulf Shores this past week. It was awesome. Everyone got along and nobody (Brandon) had their butt on their shoulders this year. He's not the beach person. We really did have fun though. Brandon's sister and her family went with us. I had a good time playing with the kids in the pool and getting some sun. Connor finally decided that he could swim underwater. He still has a tough time swimming on top of the water. Got me? The kids enjoyed the sand. They buried themselves in the sand and made all sorts of stuff.

When we got back home Saturday our power was off. Luckily I had washed all of our clothes while still at the beach. I played on my new iphone. I am SO glad I bought it.
